Whale Watching tours


Whale Watching Sydney (Bass & Flinders Cruises)

Whale Watching Sydney is the premier whale watching experience in the state. The whale Experts, with both advanced certification and awards in eco-tourism ongoing research projects, and expert commentary, come whale watching with us. Daily cruises from May to November 


True Blue Cruises

On all "True Blue" Cruises we go to great lengths to show you the spectacular beauty and marine life of the Sydney Coast. On all whalewatching cruises you may also see dolphins, seals, fairy penguins and manydifferent varieties of bird life. You can experience the spectacle of watching and listening to the gentle giants of the sea. Cruises daily from Mid May to Mid November.

 

Sydney Eco Whale Watching

Sydney Eco Whale Watching's personalised 4.0 hour eco-tour caters for only a small number of passengers at a time. No pushing crowds and lots of personal attention will make this a powerful, spiritual experience.

 

Pro Dive Midcity 

Pro Dive Midcity operates Sydney's fastest whale watching tour so you can spend more time with the whales and less time cruising Sydney Harbour. We have 2 convenient departure points situated on both sides of the Harbour and you can be assured of a personalised trip as we only carry a maximum of 22 passengers per trip. Our experienced marine biologist and  whale watch guides will ensure that you get the most from your encounter  with our  mammalian cousins. We schedule 6 trips per week and operate a "No -Sighting - Free return trip" policy

 

 


Marine Mammal Conservation


International Fund for Animal welfare  

The International Fund for Animal Welfare works to improve the welfare of wild & Domestic animals throughout the world by reducing commercial exploitation of animals, protecting wildlife habitats and assisting animals in distress. IFAW seeks to motivate the public to prevent cruelty to animals and to promote animal welfare and conservation policies that advance the well-being of both animals and people.


Greenpeace
Greenpeace is campaigning for an end to commercial whaling. We are also campaigning to ensure Japan, Norway and Iceland do not succeed in lifting the ban on whaling. Greenpeace is working on many fronts, through political work and public outreach.


Orrca Marine Mammal Rescue and Research in Australia
Orrca is a volunteer organisation caring for whales, dolphins, seals and dugongs in Australian waters.

 

Research


Macquarie University

The research project to be carried out over the next three years by the Marine Mammal Research
group at Macquarie University, Bass & Flinders cruises (Whale Watching Sydney) as part of an
Australian Research Council linkage grant with NPWS & IFAW

 

Cape Solander Whale Migration Study Volunteers
NPWS managed, this group of dedicated volunteers survey whales each June and July everyday
from sun up to sun down. Providing invaluable data on the Humpback whale migration.
